Competition Successes

It’s been a good start to the year for f8 in regional, national and international competitions. Here are some of the highlights so far.

Western Counties Photographic Federation Members’ Exhibition
Alan received a Bronze Medal in the WCPF Members Exhibition with his image “An Indian Summer?” in the Prints and a Ribbon in the Projected competition. Pauline had a Ribbon and David a certificate in the Projected competition.

British Photographic Exhibitions
In her first year of entering the BPE nationals, Pauline got a medal - the Keith Suddaby’s Medal for her mono image “Into The Void” - in the Southport National Open Exhibition. Last year, both David and Alan reached their BPE1* in their first year of entering, and are now well on their way to BPE2* with several acceptances already this year. George, of course, is an old hand at the nationals as he’s already a BPE5*, so this year he’s aiming for his Associateship.

Bristol International Salon
Jane decided to aim high with her first entry outside of club competitions; and she scored well with 3 acceptances - one with maximum points. Pauline had 1 image accepted; Alan had 2 accepted; David had 4 accepted (including 2 nature images); and George - well, what can I say - 11 out of 12 entries accepted is exceptional! The rest of us have a long way to go to reach these dizzying heights. Well done George.

We’re all now looking forward to a busy summer of photography - starting with a group holiday to Northumberland - and more successes.
